THE ROADTRIP
Travelling is a part of life. Each trip that we take from A to B has a story to tell. And that’s the topic we’ll explore with cartoon artist Aksel Studsgarth at his ‘Roadtrip’ exhibition, launching on March 17th at Monday Studio.
After years working in the film industry with VFX and making comic books, Aksel is setting up his very first exhibition with us. His love for vehicles and machinery reflects a lot on his art, as he always seems to end up with a spaceship or a car in his drawings. His cartoonish pieces will entice you to explore each drawing in detail, and let your creativity flow as to what the story is in each scenery.
Drawing has always been a part of Aksel’s life, even before he decided to make it his career. He’s always enjoyed the process and enters a flow state, which really reflects on his art, which is filled with interesting details of the universes he creates. His biggest inspirations are in European comic books from the 80s and 90s, which he brings into his own work beautifully.
