X FOR JAZZ - Improvisation as exhibition // The Festival Recap

So, during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2016, we took over the top floor of HUSET-KBH, to open the doors for a 9 day mixed-media art festival – a mash-up art mixer, sharing the visuals and sounds by more than 15 upcoming artists from Copenhagen.

Rather than presenting a static exhibition, X FOR JAZZ unfolded as a rhythmic, living format, where visual art, performance, spoken word, music and scenography merged into a continuous flow.

During the nine days, this project hosted a dense and varied programme that moved between quiet, contemplative moments and explosive, boundary-pushing encounters.
