Hi AK. How would you intro yourself to a stranger?
Hi, I’m AK, a visual artist passionate about creating accessible art in public spaces.
What makes you smile?
What brings a smile to my face? Silly cats, a good cup of coffee, crisp art, and most of all, seeing people engage with my work. I love that art can connect with people from all walks of life, offering a shared experience in unexpected places.
How would you discribe your work?
My style is a fusion of figurative elements with abstract and surreal touches, often focusing on female figures. I use layered effects to add depth and dimension, creating a sense of mystery and narrative.
What excites you most?
What excites me most is the limitless possibilities within art—each piece is a new adventure where I can push my creative boundaries and explore new ideas. It's like diving into deep waters, never knowing exactly what you'll discover, but loving the thrill of the exploration.
How long have you worked with art?
I’ve been an active participant in the art world for about four years, with roots in graphic design and formal training from a classical academic art school in Viborg. My journey began with a passion for self-expression through music and art during my school years, which naturally evolved into a career in visual arts and muralism.
Joining a studio collective in Aalborg with other creatives has been a significant step, allowing me to grow and refine my craft in a supportive environment.
