About
Monday
Magazine
Monday Magazine is a conceptual visual publication by Art Monday, bringing together six artists within a shared editorial framework - without themes, hierarchies, or résumé requirements.
The magazine is conceived as a slow format: a space to step away from everyday noise and encounter the worldview of a stranger through images.
Each issue functions as a carefully curated whole, where works are allowed to converse, collide, and create new meanings through their coexistence. Rather than presenting individual practices in isolation, Monday Magazine is built around the relationships that emerge when images from different contexts are placed side by side.
.working without a theme
There is no fixed theme for Monday Magazine. Instead, the publication is shaped by visual dialogue: how images begin to act as parts of a larger organism when brought together. We are interested in what happens between works - in overlaps, ruptures, repetitions, and contrasts - and in the meanings that surface when images are allowed to listen to one another.
Selection is based solely on the submitted images and their ability to contribute to this shared visual flow. We are not interested in status, previous accomplishments, or external validation. The work stands on its own.
.who we are looking for
The Open Call is open worldwide to all visual artists, regardless of age, background, experience, or discipline. Photography, painting, illustration, sculpture, collage, design, film stills, and other printable formats are all welcome.
We are often drawn to artists who create out of curiosity rather than obligation – artists who are not confined by expectations tied to their previous practice, and who allow their work to evolve freely. What matters is not who you are, but what your images do.
That being said, we have always encouraged the newcomers. From the beginning, we have sought to champion lesser-known and emerging artists.
.selection & editorial process
Selection is carried out by the editorial team and is based solely on the submitted material. Submission does not guarantee inclusion.
If selected, participation implies consent for the editors to curate, edit, and sequence the works within the magazine in dialogue with the other artists. Images will not be cropped or altered without prior agreement, but Art Monday reserves the right to place and contextualize works as part of the overall narrative of the publication.
.format details
& publication specs
The magazine is not an (x)-edtion based publication - though printed continuously in small runs at a time. We do this to avoid the idea of a mass-distributed mainstream feel to our products.

a 40 pages, size 21 × 28cm art-zine – 6 curated artists featured with six pages each!
.exhibition & participation
In addition to being featured in Monday Magazine, selected artists will participate in a group exhibition at Monday Studio.
The magazine and the exhibition are conceived as two interconnected spaces - one printed, one physical - for the same voices.
Participation in both the magazine and the exhibition is free of charge.
Art Monday takes a 50% commission on all works sold during the exhibition, including both original works and prints.
Participation in the group exhibition at Monday Studio requires that selected artists provide their own physical works for display.
Artists are responsible for producing, delivering, and collecting the works exhibited. Art Monday does not cover production, framing, printing, shipping, or related costs unless otherwise agreed in advance.
All exhibitions connected to the launch of Monday Magazine are subject to the standard exhibition terms and conditions of Monday Studio. By participating, artists agree to these terms, which apply equally to magazine launch exhibitions and regular exhibitions held at the space.
