Monday Studio is our indie art's 'n' book shop, and creative space in Copenhagen.

Built around the simple idea that discovering art should feel intimate and a personal experience to all who dare to look.

We mainly work with emerging artists, illustrators, designers + a large group of independent publishers, whose work carries a strong voice of its own.

Inside the studio, original artworks live alongside prints, books, zines, objects and things you can wear. Exhibitions become launches, launches become conversations, and sometimes something entirely different happens.

It is your place to walk into, look around and find something you didn’t know you were looking for.

Maybe you leave with a new artist to follow, a book, a print, a T-shirt – or simply something that stays in your head.

Monday Studio grew out of Art Monday and a belief that contemporary art doesn’t need to feel distant, complicated or reserved for a select few.

Art can be something you discover by chance, get close to and build a relationship with over time.

That idea also shapes who we work with. We are interested in artists and creatives with something of their own to say — including voices and expressions that don’t necessarily fit neatly into the usual boxes.

More than a gallery or a shop, Monday Studio is a meeting place. For exhibitions, releases, experiments, conversations and unexpected encounters between the people making things and the people discovering them.

You don’t need to know the right names, words or rules.

Curiosity is enough.
