Please read this page carefully. If you encounter issues that are already listed below we cannot take responsibility for that. Following up by email about things that were already clearly stated adds significant extra work for us. Please make sure to read everything before submitting.

About

Monday Magazine is a conceptual visual publication by Art Monday, bringing together six artists within a shared editorial framework – without themes, hierarchies, or résumé requirements. It's conceived as a slow format: a space to step away from everyday noise and encounter the worldview of a stranger through images.

There is no fixed theme. Instead, the publication is shaped by visual dialogue – how images begin to act as parts of a larger organism when placed side by side. Each issue is a curated whole, where works are allowed to converse, collide, and create new meanings through their coexistence, rather than presenting individual practices in isolation. Selection is based solely on the submitted images and what they contribute to that shared visual flow – not on status, previous accomplishments, or external validation.

Who can apply

Open worldwide to all visual artists, regardless of age, background, experience, or discipline. Photography, painting, illustration, sculpture, collage, design, film stills, and other printable formats are all welcome.

We're drawn to artists who create out of curiosity rather than obligation, and we've always encouraged newcomers – from the beginning, championing lesser-known and emerging artists has been part of the point.

Selection is carried out by the editorial team, based solely on the submitted material. Submission does not guarantee inclusion.

If selected, participation implies consent for the editors to curate, edit, and sequence your work within the magazine, in dialogue with the other artists. Images won't be cropped or altered without prior agreement, but Art Monday reserves the right to place and contextualize works as part of the publication's overall narrative.

How to apply

Fill out the application form at the end of this page, and submit up to 15 artworks for consideration. All files must be press-ready – final, prepared for print, and cropped for optimal use in the magazine layout, with no further editing required on our end (see image requirements under //specs below).

By submitting, you confirm your acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in this Open Call. 

If selected, you'll receive an email confirming participation, including the selected images and the publishing agreement for Monday Magazine.
