WEAR The Fall

Clothes and bags from the same leftovers, the same prints and the same few months of work.

Materials

Everything in THE FALL is built from remnants: faux leather, cotton jersey, denim, leftover yarn and scraps of faux fur. New artwork by Bob Petra was printed onto the material first, and the printed material was then cut apart and sewn back together into new forms — which is why a composition can run across a seam, or break off mid-panel and continue somewhere else on the body.

The clothes

Dresses built around the structure of the corset, a bodystocking, shorts and a tie. A classic garment reference can meet a raw print; faux leather can sit against jersey; something delicate can sit next to something aggressive. The contrasts are not smoothed out.

The bags

The bags came first, and they are the reason the collection exists at all. The first two were made alongside the knitwear from leftover fabric and faux fur, finished with eyelets and metal rings, and put together in two days right before the show they were made for.

The run that followed is knitted from leftover yarn, which is why no two are the same size. They are built with a technique the studio calls fluff, so neither strap nor bag stretches out of shape, and every one carries a printed graphic of its own. Next to them sits a handful of small charm bags.

One of each

Every piece is made in a small run from materials that existed in a fixed quantity, so there is only ever one of each. Nothing is repeated, and when it's gone, it's gone.
