DESIGNERS RIOT // Copenhagen SS26

DESIGNERS RIOT is a new event format created by Monday Studio — bringing together independent designers, artists, makers and creative outsiders working between fashion, art, objects and underground culture.

For two days, Monday Studio transforms into a temporary universe of wearable art, experimental design, installations, publications, handmade objects and personal creative worlds.

The project was created from a desire to make space for smaller creators, raw aesthetics and original ideas outside traditional showrooms, fairs and commercial fashion spaces.

DESIGNERS RIOT focuses on people who create from instinct, obsession and identity – working with textiles, print, craft, graphics, silhouettes, materials and artistic expression in their own uncompromising ways.

Rather than presenting polished brands and seasonal trends, DESIGNERS RIOT highlights process, personality and atmosphere: creative practices shaped by DIY culture, subculture, independent production and artistic experimentation.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to explore and purchase original garments, knitwear, prints, art pieces, accessories, zines and objects directly from the participating artists and designers.

Expect underground energy, strange textures, handmade details, conversations, music and creative collisions between disciplines and people.

DESIGNERS RIOT exists somewhere between exhibition, market, social gathering and temporary creative takeover.

Thursday June 5 — Opening Party

16.00 — 21.00

Opening event with launches, installations, music, drinks and participating artists/designers present throughout the evening.

Friday June 6 — Market Day

12.00 — 16.00

Open market and showroom with independent designers, wearable art, prints, objects and selected works available during the day.
