EVERYDAY _ pop-up showoff with Thit Aaberg & WeAreArt

We’re looking forward to opening the doors and inviting you into the multiverse of EVERYDAY — a duo showoff with Thit Aaberg and WeAreArt (Petra Sparrebro).

This is where art slips off the wall and into your hands, onto your body, and into the rhythm of daily life.

A shared space where objects, materials, and emotions are not just presented, but activated.

Expect objects that feel alive. Things you can wear, hold, carry, and maybe get a little attached to. Small creatures hiding in familiar forms.

Clothing that carries something heavier than just fabric.

A mix of softness and distortion – where the monstrous feels close, almost comforting.

This isn’t about observing from a distance.

It’s about proximity. Touch. Presence.

Thit Aaberg works with tactile, character-like beings that inhabit everyday objects; lighters, ashtrays, jewelry, and domestic fragments. Their practice moves around the intimate and the functional, transforming the ordinary into something animated and strangely companion-like. The monstrous, in Thit’s world, isn’t threatening – it’s something you can exist alongside. Something that stays.

WeAreArt (Petra Sparrebro) works across painting, mental health, and upcycling. Her practice explores emotional duality, how to exist with both vulnerability and strength at once. Through wearable pieces made from vintage textiles, she investigates how materials, like people, can be reworked, re-lived, and carried differently. Not to hide what’s raw, but to make space for it.

Together, they form a shared language where body, object, and emotion intersect. Where what you wear and what you hold becomes part of the same narrative.

As part of the show, a collaboration between Rasmus Kongsgård and Thit Aaberg is also presented. The photo series KILLING LOLITA, originally featured in FANDENIVOLDSK, is reimagined into t-shirts, hoodies, and tote bags – extending the visual universe into something you can take with you.
