BODYTALKS is a conceptual zine made with Marko Pogacar, who photographs naked bodies of every kind: scarred, marked, big, small, smooth, rough. Each portrait comes with the model's own story. The aim is to break with the negative thoughts so many of us carry about our bodies, something Marko knows from his own life.
He won't call himself a photographer. With a degree in educational psychology and further training in metacognitive psychotherapy, he is a therapist with a camera. The idea behind the project is simple: the more you scratch a mosquito bite, the more it itches. Negative thoughts about the body work the same way. Leave them be.
Volume one was printed in February 2022 in an edition of 100 copies.
