Terms of Booking a Tattoo
4.1
BLÆKBAR is our tattoo studio, part of Art Monday (CVR no. 36578475). Several independent artists work from our studio. These terms apply to any tattoo appointment booked through BLÆKBAR, regardless of which of our artists you book with. Individual details — such as pricing, deposits, and touch-up policy — may vary by artist; your artist will confirm the specifics that apply to your booking.
4.2
A consultation is an initial, no-obligation conversation about your tattoo idea — placement, size, style, and expected price. This takes place before your appointment is booked.
4.3
A session is your actual tattoo appointment. Larger pieces may require more than one session. Pricing is typically based on time spent tattooing rather than a fixed price agreed in advance — your artist will confirm this with you.
4.4
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Your artist will confirm the amount when you book.
4.5
To be tattooed with us, you must be at least 18 years old. We won't tattoo anyone who is visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We always work with professional, sterile equipment and approved ink, and our artists are registered tattooists.
4.6
You're responsible for telling us about any relevant health conditions before your appointment. Aftercare is your own responsibility afterwards — here are our general recommendations: keep the tattoo clean and moisturised for about the first week, following your artist's specific instructions; avoid direct sun, swimming, and strenuous physical activity while it heals; and use sunscreen on your healed tattoo going forward to protect the colour and detail. Contact your artist if you notice signs of infection — significant redness, heat, or pus. Some itching is normal during healing.
4.7
As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you book a tattoo with us online, just as with other services purchased online. To cancel a booking within this period, use the Returns function on our website (the same function used for shopping returns — it covers bookings too) or contact us directly at hello@artmonday.net. Here's how it works in practice: your right of withdrawal ends once your tattoo is complete — but only if you've actively given your consent beforehand for us to begin the work within the 14-day period, and you've been told that doing so means your right of withdrawal will end. This consent is separate from simply accepting these terms — we'll ask for it specifically, typically when you book or at your consultation, before the appointment begins.
4.8
If your tattoo is complete when you decide to withdraw, the booking can no longer be cancelled. If it's only partly complete — for example if you withdraw between sessions of a longer piece — you can cancel the rest of the work, but you'll need to pay a proportional amount for the work already done. If the work hasn't started yet, the normal right of withdrawal applies, and your deposit is handled as described above.
4.9
If you have a question or a complaint, contact us at hello@artmonday.net.
